Joshua Mbai

Joshua Mbai is an experienced monitoring and evaluation specialist with over ten years’ experience implementing projects that promote the use of data and evidence in public decision and policymaking. At DG, he holds key roles with DG’s Statistical and Data Use Ecosystem Assessments in Kenya, rapid assessment of the public procurement portal in Kenya, and mapping of accountability tools with Partnership for Maternal, Neonatal, and Child Health (PMNCH). He has also worked with UNICEF Kenya, Palladium Kenya, UNOCHA-Humanitarian Data Exchange, and UNDP South Sudan, among others.

Joshua holds a Bachelor of Science in Applied Statistics from Maseno University and is currently finalizing two master’s degrees; a Master of Science in Monitoring & Evaluation through Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology and a Master of Public Policy Management at Strathmore Business School.
