Christine Sumog-oy is the Country Lead for the National Models for Women’s Safety Online (NMWSO) Program in the Philippines. She brings over eight years of experience in peacebuilding and human rights advocacy in Mindanao, and another eight years leading multi-sectoral initiatives in international development across fragile and conflict-affected regions in Africa, Asia, and North America.
Christine is actively expanding her expertise in online safety, gender equality, and digital peacebuilding, and is deeply committed to helping communities become more digitally resilient and safer online.
She holds a Master’s degree in International Peace Studies from the University of Notre Dame in Indiana, USA, with a specialization in Organizational Leadership and Management. She is also a Global Change Leaders Fellow at the Coady International Institute in Nova Scotia, Canada.
