She is the Ethiopia Country Lead for the Tobacco Control Data Initiative, the Governance and Policy Advisor for the aLIVE program, the Co-country Lead for SNR Ethiopia, and a Policy Researcher for the ASAS program that is being implemented in Jordan. She has a background in research and extensive experience working in the Ethiopian legal system and beyond.
Selam has a Master’s in Environmental Law from the University of Alabama and a Ph.D. in Law focusing on Land Governance and Conflict Management from the University of Amsterdam.
