Terefe Gelibo Agerfa, PhD

Terefe is a public health analyst and epidemiologist with more than 15 years of experience with research programs and project coordination, as well as monitoring and evaluation in resource-limited settings. Throughout his career, he has provided capacity building and support to researchers involved in designing studies, sampling, recruiting and training of field teams, field monitoring, team management, data management, and analyzing quantitative and qualitative data. Terefe has also coordinated national-level research projects and surveillance activities conducted by the Ethiopian Public Health Institute and other partners and he is a member of the National Research Advisory Council of the RMNCH – Federal Ministry of Health, Ethiopia.

Terefe earned a bachelor of science in public health from Haramaya University, a master of public health from Jimma University, and his Ph.D. from the University of South Africa.
