Nafissatou is a specialist in digital product management with over eight years of experience in ICT4D, spanning agriculture, health, financial inclusion, disaster response and climate change. She works where data products meet decisions: defining what digital solutions require and establishing whether their outputs are accurate enough to act on.
As Product Owner for the Soil Nutrient Roadmap, she leads development of the data dashboard used by two countries to plan national fertilizer investment, conducting user research with stakeholders, defining requirements, setting quality frameworks for the predictive models behind it, and defining the acceptance criteria model outputs must meet before features are built. Most recently, she has been establishing how the program’s AI assistant is evaluated, checking that it reports the right figures from the right sources before those figures can inform public spending.
She has also served as Product Owner for the FORSAH Technical and Vocational Education program, Project Manager for the Tobacco Control Data Initiative, and Technical Advisor to VIFAA. Previously, she led development of the Norwegian Refugee Council’s cash management system in Ukraine, cutting refugee record processing from six months to three and delivering chatbots that carried aid applications from more than 500,000 households.
Nafissatou holds a Project Management Professional certification and speaks Wolof, French, English, and Turkish.
