Chaque année, les gouvernements dépensent des milliards de dollars, dans la commande publique de biens et services - s’ils ne mettent pas en avant le concept de redevabilité, beaucoup de ressources peuvent être perdues au gaspillage ou à la corruption. Aujourd'hui, plus que jamais, la transparence dans les marchés publics, plus précisément la commande publique ouverte, est nécessaire au Sénégal et dans le monde, au moment les gouvernements se mobilisent pour lutter contre la pandémie du Covid-19 et essaient de s'en remettre, tout en s'efforçant de venir en aide aux populations les plus vulnérables. 

​​​​​​​Last month, in partnership with the National Civil Aviation and Meteorology Authority (ANACIM), DG held a co-design workshop to better understand the visualization needs around agro-climatic data. We worked with ANACIM’s Multi-disciplinary Working Group (GTP), to reflect on the content and design of AD3’s interactive platform, and decided how best to present each indicator to facilitate decision-making.

In January 2020, in partnership with WIM Guinea and OSIWA, Development Gateway (DG) launched the Women in Mining Pilot Index (WIM Index) that aims to quantify and visualize the impact of mining activities on communities – especially on women and young people. En janvier 2020, en partenariat avec WIM Guinée et OSIWA, Development Gateway (DG) a lancé l'Indice Pilote WIM Guinée qui vise à quantifier et à visualiser l'impact des activités minières sur les communautés - en particulier sur les femmes et les jeunes.

Last week in partnership with Women in Mining (WIM) Guinea and the Open Society Initiative for West Africa (OSIWA), we celebrated the official launch of the WIM Guinea Index prototype. “Knowledge sharing” is an undeniable buzzword in the international development space. However, the idea behind it is both simple and effective: by sharing similar experiences and learning from one another, teams can develop practical solutions to challenges. Often, they also discover their challenges are not unique – across DG’s global Aid Management Platform (AMP) network, our experience highlights how AMP country challenges and goals are often aligned.
